CORNROW AKA CANEROW SERIES. STYLE 1

Hi guys. Welcome to my new series of cornrow also known as canerow. Boxer braids where?? (insert mad face here).

Over the duration of the next 4 weeks I will be showing you different styles that you can do with cornrows. These will be simple styles that can easily adapted to your hair length. First up we have a Mohawk look with my signature twist and curl.

Products used
  • Shampoo: ors olive oil and creamy aloe shampoo
  • Conditioner: dark and lovely au naturale knot out to detangle
  • Deep conditioned: ors olive oil replenishing conditioner
  • Leavein: creation gardens leavein and olive oil
  • Styler: cantu coconut curling cream and castor oil
  • Water
  • Perm rods

Now onto the style
  1. Part hair from temples to the nape on both sides to do the cornrow
  2. Place both sides out the way
  3. Proceed to take small-medium sections of hair in the middle to do your twist and curl (add your styler and spritz with water as you go)

Say Hi to Ayden lol

  1. Once you're done twisting wrap your hair on your rods. You can do so in the traditional sense I.e. Upwards or you can roll your hair downwards in the way you would on a curling wand
  2. Continue until all the hair in the middle section are complete
  3. Move on to the sides and simply cornrow both sides from temples to nap then wrap in a Bantu knot
  4. Leave middle section to dry overnight
  5. Take down once dry using your oil of choice I used castor oil

Pin to place hair to your liking and that's it! Stay tuned for the next style in the series. Have a great week.
